Hi, my name is Dr. Malte Ostendorff.
I am a senior research engineer at Deutsche Telekom, working on language modeling and information retrieval. Previously, I was a researcher at the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) and did my Ph.D. in the Scientific Information Analytics group at the University of Göttingen, supervised by Prof. Bela Gipp.
Furthermore, I am the co-founder of Occiglot and Open Justice e.V.. Occiglot is research collective for open-source language models for and by Europe. Open Justice is an association that aims to improve access to justice for the general public by advocating for more transparency in the legal system through projects such as Open Legal Data, which publishes legal documents, such as court decisions, as open data.
